Amendment 0001:
Amendment is being issued to allow quoters to include a material and handling rate with the Cost Reimbursable line item for parts. As a result the bid schedule has been updated, and alternate 1 to FAR 52.212-4 has also been revised. Revised language in the SOW has been highlighted to document this change and the due date for responses has been changed to 1 March 2024.
Site Visit Information
Quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.

Description of Requirement
This service contract involves repairs of environmental chambers (reach-in and walk-in) and freezers (-35°C and -80°C) that are critical for continued research needs at both sites. The contractor shall provide all parts and labor for repairs upon direction by authorized personnel. The contractor must posess specialized training (cerifications) to repair both the Environmetal Growth Chamber (EGC) and Percival brand environmental chambers that are in use in quarantine to maintain the warentees on equipment. In addition, the qurantine facility is a very specilized environment and requires an understanding of the protocols for working there. Quarantine facilty requirements include wearing of tyvek suit and booties (Gov’t furnished), equipment must be inspected before removal, all waste is autoclaved, etc.).
