Description

The awarded effort described herein was posted as a Presolicitation notice under N00019-20-RFPREQ-PMA-261-0097.



Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, Stratford, CT is awarded an $188,000 Firm Fixed-Price Delivery Order, N0001923F0013 under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N0001919G0029.



This order procures the software update required to fix an EGI Lever Arm application error to the LN-251 INS/GPS and integrate it into the CH-53K aircraft as a form/fit/function effort. Work will be completed in Stratford, CT and is expected to be completed in February 2023.



This requirement was procured in accordance with statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2), in that Sikorsky is the only responsible source and no other type of equipment will satisfy Marine Corps requirements. Sikorsky is the designer, developer, and sole producer of the CH-53K aircraft and the only known source that possesses the data, technical skills, and requisite knowledge of the design, fabrication, performance, operation, maintenance, and support characteristics of the CH-53K to fulfill this need in a timely manner.



Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland is the contracting activity for this effort.
