Description:

The City of Bristol, Connecticut is seeking bids for curbing and sidewalk repairs and other related work at various locations throughout the City, for the period through December 31, 2023. Bid documents may be obtained at no charge, by downloading from the Purchasing Department website via the document link noted below.

Bids will be accepted until February 28, 2023 at 2:00 pm, at which time bids will be opened and read. Bids received after the opening date and time will not be considered for award. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bid, to reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in its judgment is in its best interest.
Bidders please be advised that the mailing address for the Purchasing Department is 111 North Main Street in Bristol; for purposes of bid delivery, the physical office for the Purchasing Department is 131 North Main Street, Second Floor, Bristol CT 06010.

Each bid shall be in a sealed envelope addressed to the City of Bristol Purchasing Department, identified as “2023-055 Sidewalk Repair Program", accompanied by a Bid Bond issued by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Connecticut, in the amount of 10% of the bidders base bid amount.

Firms submitting bids must be pre-qualified with the State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (“DAS”) to perform concrete and/or site work, and shall include with their bid a copy of a current certificate as issued by DAS. Additionally, any contractor or subcontractor performing any work on this contract must be pre-qualified with DAS to perform said services, and shall include with their bid a copy of a current certificate as issued by DAS.

The awarded contractor will be required to secure a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract award, provided by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Connecticut.

The Contractor will take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, color, religion, gender, or national origin.
