Feasibility Study & Preliminary Design Work
for New 911 Center
The City of Middletown is seeking, through this request for proposals (RFP), a detailed feasibility study and preliminary design plans for a new 911 center for the Central Communications Department. Proposals shall meet the requirements set forth in this RFP. In addition, consultants shall be qualified and shall demonstrate experience and innovative approaches to public safety facilities.
The party that receives the award presented by this RFP may also be considered for the final design services contract. Should the City proceed to subsequent project(s) as a result of the preliminary design study, the City will issue a subsequent Request for Proposal for the required services.
Bid documents may be obtained at the Purchasing Office, Room 112, Municipal Building, 245 DeKoven Drive, Middletown, CT., Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for a fee of $.50 per page. The City of Middletown reserves the right to waive any defect in any proposal statement and reserves the right to reject any or all proposal statements or any part thereof. Proposal Statements, amendments to or withdrawals of qualification statements received after the time set for the receipt of proposals will not be considered.
This project is subject to the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Therefore, the awarded firm will be responsible to follow and provide all requirements set by the Treasury’s State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF), the Awarded Contractor and all Subcontractors/Suppliers performing and/or providing materials on this project shall be required to obtain a “Unique Entity ID #” (UEI#). It is the responsibility of the awarded firm to be knowledgeable and provide all requirements set forth under the SLFRF for all subcontractors and suppliers associated with this project.
