GENERAL

The City of Torrington is seeking bids for three (3) “J” Style American (Frink) or Equivalent, 11’ Hydraulic reversible trip edge snow plows with steel moldboard (American Snow Plow or Equivalent). If “Equivalent to” vendor must supply name and specs of the Plow that will be supplied. Must also include the weight of plow.

BID PROCEDURES

All bids shall be submitted on forms provided by the City of Torrington and addressed to the Purchasing Agent, City of Torrington, 140 Main Street, Torrington, CT 06790. All bids must include the contractor’s name and address and be signed by an authorized officer or employee of the contractor submitting the bid. Bids will be opened on August 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Sealed bid envelopes shall be clearly marked "SPS-031-081823 “HYDRAULIC REVERSIBLE TRIP EDGE SNOWPLOW”. Bids received after the above scheduled date and time shall not be considered or opened. No faxed or email bids will be accepted.

INQUIRIES

The Deadline for submitted questions is August 8, 2023 by 4:00 PM. Questions may be directed to Pennie Zucco, Purchasing Agent, pennie_zucco@torringtonct.org . All information given by the city except by written addenda shall be informal and shall not be binding upon the city nor shall it furnish a basis for legal action by any Proposers against the City. Vendor responsible to check City website for addendum/updates 48 hours prior to bid opening.

Additionally, after bids are received, the City reserves the right to communicate with any or all of the proposers to clarify the provisions of this request. The City further reserves the right to request additional information at any time after proposals are opened.

Any alleged oral agreement made by a bidder or contractor with any agency or employee of the City of Torrington shall be disregarded.

All information by the City except by written addendum shall be informal and shall not be binding upon the City nor shall it furnish a basis for legal action by any proposer against the city

All bids will be considered valid for a period of thirty (30) days.
